Mol Smith - the Author of "42 - The Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything."
Mol Smith has been a computer programmer, an airbrush artist, a telecommunications technician, a poet, an artist, an a writer. Born in 1950, , London, England, he has continually thought about the big questions, despite having a practical working life. In 1986, his first 10 page airbrushed mini novel was published; in 1995, he completed 3 years work creating the world's first virtual microscope, and then co-founded one of the most vibrant and popular science sites on the web: www.microscopy-uk.org.uk and a monthly ISSN registered magazine: Micscape

He is completely self-educated and has no formal qualification, believing all knowledge can be learned through self-curiosity, and acquisition/accessibility of books and libraries. "Most people are being educated to do jobs rather than for their self-advancement and genuine advantage as people. I found myself wanting to know truth rather than fixed disciplines designed to fill vacant jobs in a commercial world", he says.

Now living and working in Oxford & London, Mol Smith is currently working on two more books, due out in 2008.
