Hi there, I'm not a frequent user of forums but I have to congratulate you on a well observed and well meaning book that echoes so much of what i have deduced as a bit of a 'world watcher'. The theory,(or projection) that we eventually will have to move on from our fleshy containers and our collective human knowledge and consciousness would be a universal legacy, is one I've been bandying about for a couple of years now. As fantastical as it might seem at present in evolutionary terms it's probably going to happen quite quickly. I see our time on the planet as a lucky window of opportunity. If we pool our resources as a real global community we can use shared knowledge to ensure that some essence of what we are can travel beyond our lovely, doomed rock. Of course I'm being optimistic that the general population can be reconditioned to not fear being dead and gain perspective on all the religeous trappings that give them comfort. If they don't, then time, money and ideas will be frittered away and progress slowed until it might be too late, our window might be shut while we still argue about God and oil prices. Anyway I hope I managed to avoid ranting. Cheers. Steve D
